Director of Entertainment Jobs

A Director of Entertainment in the hospitality industry is a professional who oversees the planning and execution of entertainment programs for a hotel, resort or a similar establishment. They're responsible for the management of all entertainment staff, ensuring high-quality attractions and performances for guests, and coordinating with other departments within the organization to ensure smooth operations. Their roles often include developing and implementing entertainment strategies, budgeting, scheduling, and negotiating contracts with entertainers or performance groups.

This position typically requires strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills. They should also have a good understanding of entertainment technology, hospitality management, and be able to work under pressure. As for certifications, a degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration or a related field is often required, along with relevant work experience. Previous job roles may include positions such as Entertainment Manager, Event Planner or a Performance Artist Manager. These roles provide the needed experience in managing entertainment events, negotiating contracts, and understanding guest satisfaction.
