Who We Are:
Heroes Ridge is more than just a retreat center—it’s a sanctuary for healing, laughter, and reconnection. Nestled in the serene hills of Sabillasville, MD, we provide wounded, injured, and ill veterans and first responders—and their families—with weekend getaways full of bonding, adventure, and peace.

What You’ll Do:
As our Retreat Director, you’ll be the heart of our weekend programs. From organizing archery to orchestrating campfire s’mores, you’ll make sure every moment is meaningful and smooth. Your mission? Help our heroes and their families rediscover joy, strength, and connection.

Your Superpowers Include:

• Planning unforgettable retreats (think horseback riding, crafts, ATV rides and more)
• Being the on-site MVP – welcoming guests, solving problems, and creating a warm, safe environment
• Coordinating with amazing volunteers, staff, and community partners
• Communicating clearly and compassionately with families before and during their stay
• Keeping supplies organized and activities running smoothly
• Always reflecting the mission and values of Operation Second Chance
• Prior background with therapy modalities a plus!

What We’re Looking For:

• A heart full of compassion and a passion for serving military families and first responders. Strong consideration given to veterans or veterans care givers. 
• Experience in events, recreation, hospitality, or veteran/first responder support (bonus if you've done a bit of everything)
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Weekend availability
• A love for the outdoors and a hands-on, can-do attitude
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Must pass a background check
