Major Food Group is seeking an Restaurant Manager for THE GRILL located in The Seagram Building!

THE GRILL is a historically based American chophouse set in midcentury New York. It takes great inspiration from history; both the time the Seagram Building was built and the restaurants that existed at that time. It is the precursor to the NY Steakhouse, when things were still intricate and elegant. It celebrates all the animals of the land and some of our favorites from the sea. There is extensive table side preparation and service. There is also extensive use of THE GRILL. It is the name of the restaurant, the style of restaurant, and the piece of equipment we use in the kitchen for many of our signature preparations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work under the direction of the General Manager to manage daily operations of upscale dining restaurant
  • Schedule and appoint tasks and responsibilities to staff as directed by the GM
  • Oversee daily operations of the restaurant, including managing staff, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining quality standards
  • Experience in effectively leading and manaing large teams
  • Experience in overseeing and executing event operations and logistics
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve overall restaurant performance and profitability
  • Ensure policies are upheld
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Collaborate with chefs to ensure efficient food production and delivery
  • Manage budgets and control costs to maximize revenue
  • Offer and inspire exemplary guest service
  • Other responsibilities to ensure ease of operations

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 2-3 years in a management role in the Restaurant/Hospitality Industry
  • Experience working in upscale, high volume restaurants in a managerial role required
  • Experience in Michelin-starred restaurants preferred
  • Bachelors degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or related field preferred
  • Proven team player willing to roll up your sleeves - a good leader should be willing and able to do whatever he or she asks of their team!
  • Must exemplify the highest standards in honesty, integrity, humility and leadership

Compensation: $80,000 - $85,000 annually based on experience.
