Job DetailsEvents & Floor Manager Blackstones Steakhouse Stamford, CT
Blackstones Steakhouse in downtown Stamford is seeking a polished, articulate Events & Floor Manager to own our private events business and oversee floor service.
We're an established steakhouse entering an exciting new chapter: later this year we'll be renovating and rebranding into a more sophisticated, upscale steakhouse concept which will be the talk of the town in Stamford. This is a rare opportunity to step in now and grow with us as we elevate the experience.
This is a hybrid role for someone equally comfortable closing an event with a corporate client and running a smooth, high-standard dinner service with the rest of the management team. As the face of our events program, you'll be a primary representative of the restaurant, so exceptional presentation, communication, and hospitality instincts are essential.
What you'll do
Events
- Serve as the face of our events program, building relationships with corporate clients and businesses near the restaurant, including in-person visits to prospective accounts
- Manage all event inquiries and email correspondence from first contact through booking
- Guide clients through menu selection from our event packages
- Prepare detailed event order forms (BEOs) for the chef and service staff
- Ensure every event check is rung in accurately and reconciled correctly
Floor
- Oversee floor service when working the floor as a manager on duty
- Maintain service standards, pacing, and guest experience throughout the night
- Resolve guest issues with professionalism and discretion
What we're looking for
- 2+ years in restaurant management, events, or fine-dining service (events experience strongly preferred but not crucial if strong personality)
- Outstanding verbal and written communication
- Refined, professional presentation and a warm, confident presence with guests
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail under pressure
- Comfort with POS systems (Toast experience a plus) and standard event documentation
- Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays
Compensation Competitive base, plus a bonus incentive structure tied to events and performance.
Why Blackstones Join an established steakhouse on the cusp of a major transformation, with ownership over our events program and room to grow as we rebrand into an upscale concept.
