We are on the lookout for a passionate and experienced Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team in delivering top-notch food service in a lively, fast-paced environment. We are a pizza place first and foremost and would love to have someone with a background in pizza. We are a high volume and want someone who is organized and efficient in running the show. As the Kitchen Manager, you'll oversee daily kitchen activities, ensure food quality and safety standards are met, and foster a positive work atmosphere that encourages growth and teamwork. Responsibilities
- Oversee all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality.
- Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste using systems like Toast POS and R365.
- Supervise kitchen staff, including training new team members, conducting performance evaluations, and supporting their professional development through ongoing training & development initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and health regulations to maintain a safe environment for staff and guests.
- Handle shift management by coordinating schedules, overseeing daily tasks, and ensuring smooth workflow during busy hours.
- Collaborate with front-of-house teams to deliver excellent customer service and address any guest concerns promptly.
- Assist with budgeting, cost control, and food management to optimize operational efficiency while maintaining high standards of quality.
Experience
- Proven experience in food service management or hospitality management within quick service & fast food restaurants or casual dining environments.
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen experience across diverse culinary styles.
- Demonstrated supervising experience with skills in team management, staff training & development, and interviewing potential candidates.
- Experience with food safety protocols, inventory control, catering, banquet services, or hotel food operations is highly desirable.
- Background in managing restaurant or food industry operations including shift management, budgeting, and food production.
