Job DetailsThe Spaniard, a classic New York corner tavern in the West Village, is looking to grow our management team!
THE ROLE:
As a member of the management team, you will help lead operations at The Spaniard, a busy West Village neighborhood bar. We're looking for a hands-on leader who thrives in high-volume service, enjoys the energy of a busy bar scene, and is comfortable managing large teams, guest experiences, and security operations during peak hours.
WHO YOU ARE:
- 3+ years of experience in a leadership role in a fast-paced, high-volume, nightlife environment
- Extensive knowledge of beer, wine, liquor, and cocktails, preferably strong whiskey knowledge
- An approachable leader who can motivate, manage and develop a large and diverse team
- Excellent verbal and written/digital communication skills
- Comfortable working a schedule focused on evenings, late nights and weekends
- Self-starter who is results-oriented and who appreciates and takes initiative on both the essential details and the bigger picture
- Team player with a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude
- Calm under pressure and able to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Full availability, including nights and weekends
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Lead nightly front-of-house operations and maintain exceptional hospitality standards
- Manage busy dinner and late-night services while maintaining service standards and creating outstanding guest experiences.
- Oversee the execution of private events and special activations, coordinating across FOH, bar, kitchen, and security teams to ensure seamless operations and exceptional guest experiences.
- Drive sales, team performance, and operational excellence through active floor leadership
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, and performance management
- Maintain The Spaniard's standards for hospitality, food, beverage, service, and atmosphere
- Foster a dynamic, enjoyable, and inclusive culture

Compensation: Salary ($75,000.00 - $85,000.00)
