The Role:
The Poolside Front of House Restaurant Manager is responsible for overseeing daily poolside dining operations during the summer and ensuring an exceptional guest experience throughout service. This role supports the Front of House team in maintaining operational excellence, service standards, and a positive team environment in a fast-paced outdoor setting. The standard schedule for this role is 9:00 AM 7:00 PM, including weekends and holidays as business needs require.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily poolside Front of House operations to ensure smooth and efficient service
- Ensure all Front of House staff uphold company food and beverage service standards
- Maintain and enforce personal grooming and uniform standards at all times
- Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and training new team members
- Support day-to-day food and beverage operations while adhering to budget and service standards
- Oversee scheduling, payroll, tip reporting
- Promote teamwork and maintain a positive, professional work environment
- Monitor and report on food and beverage sales, productivity, and operational performance
- Ensure compliance with Department of Health regulations and company policies
- Maintain a clean, safe, and hazard-free work environment
- Address guest concerns professionally and proactively to ensure guest satisfaction
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, staffing coverage, and daily floor management
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years experience in a hospitality leadership position
- Proficient in all aspects of dining service with strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of food and beverage operations with a passion for hospitality
- Basic understanding of cost control systems, including food, beverage, and labor management
- Effective leadership style that promotes teamwork and accountability
- Ability to motivate and develop staff in a high-volume environment
- Working knowledge of food handling and sanitation requirements of the New York State Department of Health
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Must be able to work outdoors for extended periods during the summer season and in varying weather conditions and temperatures
- Ability to stand and move throughout service for extended periods
Compensation: Salary ($74,000.00 - $84,000.00)
