Job Details The Soho Diner located in the Soho Grand Hotel seeks a Food & Beverage Floor Manager with open availability, weekend availability, with exceptional customer service, NYC restaurant experience, as well as positive leadership and supervisory experience. Soho Diner is an elevated American diner that pays homage to the neighborhoods rich history by blending the simple pleasures of a New York five-and-dime with the spirit of the citys current dining scene. Soho Diner offers an all-day menu of American classics, along with cocktails, natural wines, and restorative, non-alcoholic beverages. We employ a close-knit group of natural-born entertainers, supreme go-getters and masters of hospitality.Candidates must love food and beverage, good music and being around some of the most interesting people in New York City on a daily basis. Previous NYC restaurant manager experience and weekend availability is a must.
Essential Functions:
- Ensure that all brand standards are implemented.
- Ensure guest satisfaction is at the forefront of everything we do.
- Work cohesively with all other departments in the hotel.
- Be available at all times in case of emergency.
- Conduct daily effective and informative pre-shift meetings with TMs.
- Monitor the quality and consistency of all Food & Beverage products.
- Professional communication when on company email and in-person communication.
- Attend the weekly managers meetings
Guest Satisfaction
- Ensure all team members maintain the integrity of the brand while providing outstanding guest service at all times.
- When on the floor during service use the time to continually coach and motivate team members. Floor Managers are monitoring and participating in guest interaction. Ensure Service Standards are being upheld.
- Respond to all guests inquires and issues in a timely manner.
- Maintain positive guest interaction and continue to build loyal working relationships.
Responsibilities include:
- Floor presence, ensuring service standards are consistent
- Training and evaluating team members in their roles
- Holding all TMs equally accountable.
- Conducting effective Pre-shifts
- Scheduling and payroll
- Assisting with Inventory Controls
- Building strong rapport with guests
Required Organizational Values and Qualifications:
- Energetic and detail-oriented with exceptional interpersonal skills
- Must have working knowledge of Resy and Spot On
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with knowledge of Excel and Word are required
- Able to work effectively with all department managers
- Required to work the hours necessary to the success of the business. Schedules are not guaranteed and are subject to change weekly. These hours will vary due to the volume of business and other management coverage. Changes are at discretion of the Food & Beverage Director.

Compensation Details
Compensation: Salary ($70,000.00 - $75,000.00)
