Job Details Position OverviewWe are is seeking an experienced and highly organized Bar Manager to oversee the daily execution of service and operational systems while working closely alongside the Bar Director to help maintain one of the most ambitious cocktail programs in New York City.
This role is focused on operational excellence, team accountability, inventory systems, and nightly execution. The ideal candidate is a strong floor leader with exceptional organizational skills, a deep understanding of hospitality, and the ability to maintain high standards in a fast paced environment.
ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Operations- Work closely with the Bar Director to execute the vision, standards, and culture of the beverage program
- Assist in maintaining daily operational systems and service standards
- Support the onboarding and development of bar staff alongside the Bar Director
- Maintain a strong presence on the floor during service and lead by example
- Assist with team accountability, communication, and daily operational follow through
- Help ensure all departments are aligned and prepared for service each day
- Count and maintain weekly and monthly inventory alongside the Bar Director
- Manage ordering, receiving, invoicing, and organization of beverage products and bar supplies
- Maintain accurate pars and organization systems across all beverage related storage
- Assist in monitoring beverage costs and operational efficiencies
- Oversee CGS inventory and organization for all glassware and bar equipment
- Build and maintain prep schedules for the bar prep and support teams
- Write and manage daily receiving lists for prep and production
- Oversee batching, labeling, storage, sanitation, and organizational systems
- Ensure all mise en place is completed properly and efficiently for service
- Oversee the daily management and execution of the ice program
- Maintain standards for cocktail ice quality, storage, cutting, and service presentation
- Coordinate inventory and ordering needs to ensure consistency and availability
- Uphold exceptional hospitality and service standards during all hours of operation
- Support bartenders, barbacks, and floor staff throughout service
- Handle guest concerns professionally and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and professionalism across all bar areas
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of management experience in high level cocktail bars or fine dining environments
- Strong understanding of cocktail service, spirits, wine, beer, and hospitality systems
- Experience with inventory management, ordering systems, and invoicing
- Exceptional organizational, leadership, and communication skills
- Ability to remain calm and solution oriented in high pressure environments
- Comfortable working nights, weekends, and holidays
- Experience with opening projects is preferred
- Salary Range: $80,000 to $100,000 annually
