Job Details Director of Catering & Event Sales

We are seeking an accomplished, dynamic, and results-driven Director of Catering & Event Sales to lead and inspire a high-performing team of six experienced catering and event sales professionals. This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving revenue growth, cultivating client relationships, overseeing event execution standards, and elevating the overall sales and hospitality experience.

The ideal candidate is a polished hospitality leader with a strong background in luxury events, catering sales, private dining, and client relationship management. This individual must possess exceptional leadership skills, strategic sales acumen, operational awareness, and a passion for delivering unforgettable guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of six highly trained catering and event sales managers/planners

  • Drive catering, private dining, corporate, social, and special event revenue growth

  • Establish and execute strategic sales initiatives to maximize bookings and profitability

  • Oversee the entire sales cycle from prospecting and client development through event execution and follow-up

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, luxury clientele, event planners, vendors, and community partners

  • Ensure the highest standards of service, professionalism, communication, and event execution

  • Collaborate closely with culinary, operations, banquet, and restaurant leadership teams

  • Analyze sales performance, forecasting, budgets, pace reports, and revenue opportunities

  • Develop creative event packages, promotional initiatives, and market outreach strategies

  • Conduct regular coaching, training, and performance management for the sales team

  • Maintain exceptional attention to detail across all contracts, BEOs, timelines, and client communications

  • Represent the company at networking events, tastings, site tours, and industry functions

  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, hospitality, and excellence

Qualifications
  • 510+ years of progressive catering and event sales leadership experience

  • Proven success managing high-performing catering/event sales teams

  • Luxury hospitality, fine dining, hotel, resort, or high-end event experience strongly preferred

  • Strong track record of achieving and exceeding revenue goals

  • Exceptional leadership, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills

  • Highly organized with strong operational and financial understanding

  • Ability to manage multiple large-scale events and priorities simultaneously

  • Experience with CRM systems, sales reporting, forecasting, and event management software

  • Professional presence with strong relationship-building abilities

  • Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and special events as needed

Compensation Details

Compensation: Salary ($125,000.00 - $160,000.00)
