We are seeking a Beverage Manager who brings creativity, accountability, leadership, and a genuine passion for hospitality to our beverage program and overall guest experience.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants the opportunity to build, lead, and grow within a dynamic hospitality group.

Position Overview

The Beverage Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the beverage program and bar team while maintaining high standards of service, profitability, creativity, and hospitality.

This role requires a strong leader with expertise in mixology, craft beer, and global wines, combined with excellent operational discipline and team leadership.

Responsibilities

Beverage Program Leadership

  • Manage all daily operations of the bar and beverage program
  • Develop and execute seasonal cocktail, beer, and wine menu changes
  • Maintain consistency in beverage quality, presentation, and guest experience
  • Ensure all recipes, specs, and service standards are properly executed

Financial Management

  • Maintain beverage budgets and control bar costs on a weekly basis
  • Monitor inventory, ordering, waste control, and product usage
  • Work within payroll budgets while maintaining service standards
  • Analyze beverage performance and implement strategies to improve profitability

Team Leadership

  • Hire, train, develop, and mentor bar staff
  • Create staff schedules aligned with labor goals and business demands
  • Foster accountability, professionalism, and continued education within the team
  • Coordinate staff training seminars with vendors and industry professionals

Events + Brand Development

  • Collaborate with management, vendors, and the marketing team to create and execute tastings, events, and seasonal activations aligned with the Maree brand
  • Support promotion of the beverage program through social media, PR, and marketing initiatives
  • Build strong vendor relationships and maintain industry partnerships

Operations + Compliance

  • Ensure all sanitation, safety, and operational standards are consistently met
  • Maintain compliance with health codes, liquor laws, and loss prevention procedures
  • Support overall restaurant operations as part of the leadership team

Bonus Structure

Annual Bonus Opportunity

Paid quarterly based on performance.

Bonus eligibility is based on the following key performance metrics:

  1. Beverage Cost Management
  • Beverage cost not to exceed 20%
  • Measured monthly and quarterly
  1. Bar Labor Cost Management
  • Bar labor maintained within a range of 18% 22%
  • Includes scheduling efficiency and staffing optimization
  1. Purchasing + Inventory Control
  • Accurate ordering aligned with sales volume
  • Minimize waste, over-purchasing, and product loss
  • Maintain strong inventory systems and reporting

Bonus payouts are evaluated quarterly based on overall performance across all categories.

Work Expectations

  • Full-time leadership position combining management and bartending responsibilities
  • Four (4) bartending shifts per week required
  • Availability for evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak seasonal periods
  • Leadership presence on the floor during service
  • Weekly leadership and team meetings
  • Must be comfortable working long and occasionally erratic hours during busy seasons
  • Ability to remain on your feet for extended periods and perform occasional heavy lifting

Compensation Details

Compensation: Salary/Hourly ($30.00 - $35.00) plus tips
