Job Summary: As the Deli Manager, you will be responsible for the overall operation and success of the deli department. Your role involves managing a team of deli associates, ensuring quality and freshness in deli offerings, and providing excellent customer service. Examples of Duties:
Supervise and train deli associates, including hiring, scheduling, and performance management.
Oversee the production and presentation of deli items, including sandwiches, salads, smoker food items, and hot entrees.
Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to maintain stock levels and meet customer demand.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health codes, including proper handling and storage of deli products.
Assist customers with product inquiries, provide recommendations, and address any concerns or complaints.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the deli department, including food prep areas, display cases, and storage areas.
Develop and implement strategies to drive sales, achieve financial goals, and increase profitability in the deli department.
Collaborate with other departments and store management to coordinate promotions and events.
Produce Meals Made Simple and oversee presentation.
Knowledge:
Understanding of food safety regulations and guidelines for food preparation and handling.
Knowledge of deli products and offerings, including different types of meats, cheeses, and prepared foods.
Familiarity with inventory management and ordering procedures.
Ability to provide catering services, giving quotes for food items and overseeing the production of items to meet specific dates and times.
