Fouquets New York is hiring an experienced and passionate Restaurant Manager to join our team! We are seeking a professional hospitality leader to maintain our high standards of hospitality. When the quintessential Parisian brasserie arrived to conquer New York, renowned Michelin Star Chef Pierre Gagnaire curated a menu with a modern spin on traditional French cuisine and turning out some of the best dishes in the modern fusion cuisine movement. Take a seat at any of his restaurants and youll see hes not afraid to creatively blend new flavors and textures into traditional dishes, remaining faithful to the essential Frenchness of Fouquets Paris while conceptualizing and creating dishes that are creative, generous, and ingredient-focused. The result is a menu that reinterprets the flavors of escargots, beef tartare, even pommes frites through a gourmet lens. And when it comes to sweet finishes, the famous Fouquets millefeuille is an experience unto itself! RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Work under the direction of the Head of Food and Beverage to manage daily operations of the restaurant and at times as needed other food and beverage areas
  • Appoint and delegate tasks and responsibilities to staff as directed by General Manager
  • Ensure standard operating procedures are upheld
  • Lead by example
  • Ensures smooth operations by planning, delegating, and clearly communicating responsibilities to staff and providing coaching and feedback as needed
  • Respond efficiently to customer questions and complaints
  • Manage restaurant supplies
  • Displays a customer-comes-first mentality and ensures the team delivers exceptional customer service to all guests
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimum 5 years in a management role in the high-end Restaurant/ luxury hotel in New York City
  • Bachelors degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or related field preferred
  • Culinary certificate or comparable experience preferred
  • Must exemplify the highest standards in honesty, integrity, humility and leadership
  • Proven team player is willing to roll up your sleeves - a good leader should be willing and able to do whatever he or she asks of their team!
  • Good time-management skills
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
  • Food Handlers Permit or ServSafe Managers Certification
