About the Role

The Assistant General Manager of Vernick Fish, our award-winning fine dining restaurant, supports the General Manager in leading daily operations and delivering exceptional guest experiences. This role is highly visible in the restaurant and plays a key part in fostering a positive team culture while ensuring operational excellence, financial performance, and outstanding service.

What You Will Do

  • Support and lead daily restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional service standards and guest satisfaction

  • Be present on the floor, engaging with guests, handling concerns, and creating memorable dining experiences

  • Partner with the General Manager and culinary team to maintain the highest quality of food and beverage offerings

  • Manage labor and operating expenses through scheduling, budgeting, purchasing, and inventory control

  • Lead, coach, and inspire team members to achieve their full potential and promote a collaborative environment

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards

  • Contribute to strong public relations through service excellence and guest engagement

What You Bring

  • Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills

  • Proven track record of delivering high levels of guest satisfaction

  • Solid business acumen with experience managing costs and driving performance

  • Expertise in fine dining service and food & beverage operations

  • Knowledge of wine and beverage programs

  • Ability to manage guest concerns in a timely and professional manner

  • Familiarity with food safety and Department of Health requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
