JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for the daily management and coordination of all Banquet and Event Service operations as well as In Room Dining at Saracen Casino Resort. The Banquet Manager oversees all aspects of banquet event execution, including set-up, service, and breakdown. This role directly supervises Banquet and Event Supervisors, Banquet Service Staff, and Banquet Housemen as well as In Room Dining to ensure exceptional service standards are maintained. The Banquet Manager works closely with the Banquet & Events Operations Manager to implement efficient service workflows and uphold the resort’s operational excellence.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Staff Supervision: Directly oversee Banquet Supervisors, Banquet Servers, Housemen Staff and In Room. Provide consistent coaching, support, scheduling, and performance management to uphold service quality and team efficiency.

• Daily Operations: Manage all day-to-day banquet and event service operations and in Room Dining, ensuring proper event set-up, execution, and breakdown in accordance with event specifications and resort standards.

• Event Execution: Ensure that banquet events are executed with a high level of professionalism and service consistency. Work with the Events and Sales teams to meet guest expectations.

• Quality Assurance: Monitor and maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and presentation in all banquet spaces. Inspect set-ups and service delivery to ensure all specifications are met.

• Communication: Serve as the key point of contact for internal departments regarding banquet execution. Maintain strong communication with culinary, sales, and AV teams to ensure seamless event coordination.

• Guest Service: Ensure prompt and courteous service during all events. Handle guest feedback or concerns during events and follow up to ensure satisfaction.

• Inventory Oversight: Monitor and manage banquet equipment and service supplies. Coordinate with purchasing and storage teams to ensure availability of materials.

• Training & Development: Provide ongoing training to banquet service and set-up teams to reinforce service protocols, safety standards, and event-specific procedures.

• Compliance: Ensure compliance with all Saracen Casino Resort policies and procedures, including safety, sanitation, and employment standards.

• Scheduling: Prepare staffing schedules and labor forecasts for events, maintaining proper staffing levels in accordance with business demands and budgets.

• Flexibility: Meet attendance guidelines and work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required.

• Outstanding Representation: Serve as a positive representative of the Saracen Casino Resort brand through leadership, professionalism, and service excellence.

• Other Duties: Perform additional tasks and projects as assigned. Hours may vary based on a 24-hour operation schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age or older upon employment.
  • College degree or equivalent experience is required.
  • Ten years in the field of food and beverage, including three years managerial experience in a multi-unit operation experience is required.
  • Background in high-end / fine dining environments. Knowledge of Forbes level service experience, how to implement and maintai n .
  • Must have a professional appearance and be a team player.
  • Must present a well-groomed and professional appearance.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Must be able to respond to visual and oral cues.
  • Ability to write routine correspondence and to speak effectively to the public, employees and customers.
  • Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees.
  • Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
  • Must be able to be approved for and maintain a valid gaming license.
  • Work nights, weekends and holidays as required.
  • Employment is contingent upon a favorable outcome of a background investigation and drug screening.

  • Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced casino environment and effectively deal with customers, management, employees, and members of the business community in all situations.
