General Manager - High-Volume Restaurant Requirements & Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a restaurant general manager in a high-volume setting ( $5M+ in annual sales )
  • Track record of strong leadership and employee development
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • High-energy, hands-on management style
  • Ability to work an on-site, flexible schedule (including days, nights, weekends, and holidays), approximately 50 hours per week
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Demonstrated reliability and punctuality
  • Physically able to stand, walk, bend, twist, and lift at least 20 pounds

General Manager - High-Volume Restaurant Preferred Background & Skills

  • ServSafe Certification or equivalent preferred
  • Proficiency in computer systems for reporting and scheduling
  • Experience recruiting, training, and retaining top-performing teams

General Manager - High-Volume Restaurant Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Direct daily operations and ensure all brand, quality, and safety standards are met
  • Lead, develop, and motivate a large team to exceed sales and service goals
  • Manage budgets, inventory, food and labor costs, and financial reporting
  • Hire, coach, train, and conduct performance management for associates and managers
  • Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally to maintain high satisfaction
  • Collaborate with HR, finance, loss prevention, facilities, and brand partners
  • Oversee compliance with all company policies, as well as local, state, and federal regulations
