Job DetailsThe Assistant General Manager (AGM) is responsible for facilitating daily operations of Genghis Cohen. They will work closely with and report directly to the General Manager (GM). The AGM helps ensure exceptional hospitality, strong financial controls, food safety compliance, facility upkeep, and development of hourly team members.
Essential Responsibilities:
Financials
-Assist with recording and sending monthly inventory counts
-Oversee cash tip administration and distribution
-Partner with GM and payroll teams to ensure compliance with company policies and applicable labor laws.
-Manage and submit FOH supply orders including paper goods, cleaning supplies, NA beverages and operating supplies.
Safety and Sanitation
-Support compliance with all local, state, and company food safety standards.
-Assist with health department preparation and follow-up action plans.
-Promote a culture of cleanliness, organization, and accountability.
Staff Coaching
-Provide ongoing coaching, training, and performance feedback to hourly employees.
-Reinforce company standards, policies, and service expectations.
-Support onboarding and training of new team members.
-Assist managers with performance documentation and corrective action when necessary.
-Foster a positive and professional work environment
Guest Satisfaction
-Actively engage with guests to ensure exceptional hospitality and service recovery when needed.
-Lead by example in creating memorable guest experiences.
-Support floor operations during service and maintain high standards of execution.
-Monitor guest feedback and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Reservations
-Support daily management of OpenTable reservations and guest communications.
-Monitor reservation pacing.
-Maintain guest notes, VIP profiles, and special requests.
Facilities
-Conduct regular facility walkthroughs to identify maintenance needs.
-Coordinate repair requests and follow up with vendors and contractors.
-Ensure all guest-facing and employee areas remain clean, safe, and well maintained.
-Assist with preventative maintenance programs and equipment upkeep.
-Any other duties as assigned by the General Manager or Call Mom leadership
Qualifications
-2+ years of restaurant management experience preferred.
-Strong understanding of hospitality operations and guest service standards.
-Knowledge of inventory controls, ordering systems, and labor management.
-Familiarity with OpenTable, Toast, and restaurant technology platforms preferred.
-Understanding of food safety regulations and health department standards.
-Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
-Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
Compensation DetailsCompensation: Salary ($71,000.00 - $80,000.00)
