SET THE COURSE
The Purpose of this role is to drive performance across multiple store location, ensure alignment with sales goals, operational standards, and visual merchandising guidelines. This role is crucial for managing, developing and empowering stores teams, optimizing store operations, and enhancing the overall customer experience, ultimately achieving district wide success and profitability.
BE THE ISLAND GUIDE
People:
- Lead, mentor, and develop store managers and their teams to foster a high-performance inclusive culture.
- Responsible for people development at growth at all levels of location. Including working with the Store Manager on development plans.
- Foster an environment of transparency and coaching in the moment.
- Implement and oversee recruitment, training, and development programs to ensure store teams are knowledgeable, motivated, and aligned with brand values.
- Maintain current knowledge of POS and all systems to support locations that might be understaffed.
Operations:
- Ensure adherence to operational standards and procedures to maintain a high level of efficiency and consistency across all stores.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels, shrinkage, and supply chain processes to optimize store performance and profitability.
- Analyze sales data, store metrics, and guest feedback to identify opportunities for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Oversee store compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
Sales:
- Drive sales performance by setting and achieving revenue targets and implementing strategic sales initiatives.
- Develop and execute local sales strategies and promotions to enhance store performance and guest engagement.
- Monitor key sales metrics and adjust strategies to meet and exceed business objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with guests to ensure a premium shopping experience and foster brand loyalty.
Visual Merchandising:
- Ensure that all stores adhere to Tommy Bahamas visual merchandising guidelines and maintain high standards of presentation.
- Collaborate with store managers to create visually appealing displays that align with brand standards and drive guest interest.
- Conduct regular store visits to review and enhance visual merchandising strategies and ensure consistency across the district.
Business Acumen:
- Utilize strong business insights and analytical skills to assess district performance, manage budgets, and control expenses.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize operational efficiency and maximize profitability.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and market conditions to drive informed business decisions.
Accountability:
- Take ownership of district performance, including sales, profitability, and operational efficiency.
- Prepare and present detailed reports on district performance, including analysis of sales trends, operational issues, and employee performance.
- Implement and monitor action plans to address any areas of concern or underperformance.
- Must have the ability to engage in difficult conversations and provide constructive and positive feedback.
ESSENTIALS FOR LIFE IN PARADISE
- College Degree in Business or related field is preferred.
- Generally, 8+ years retail management experience.
- Generally, 2+ years managing store managers.
- Proven experience leading, mentoring, and coaching all levels of store employees. Takes accountability for employee performance.
- Financial acumen experience, including experience adhering to budgets, analyzing sales data and reviewing reports. Identifying areas to reduce costs without compromising on quality.
- Demonstrated retail acumen that includes customer service, sales techniques, effective product knowledge and company policy training.
- Solid interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication skills, listening skills.
- Ability to check for understanding after direction is given.
- Strong organization skills and ability to multi-task.
- Advanced technical aptitude when using systems including Microsoft Office Suite , POS, Scheduling tools.
- Must possess the ability to write clear and concise recaps, policy recommendations, coaching documents, and internal communications
- Proven director of external guest relations.
- Ability to travel up to 80% and work nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds frequently with frequent bending, stooping, kneeling and twisting as needed.
