We are looking for a Head of Beverage / Assistant General Manager for our new fine-dining restaurant in SoHo. This role will require you to build and lead the beverage program during the pre-opening stage and support front-of-house operations as Assistant General Manager once open.
Responsibilities- Help develop the beverage program: wine list, cocktail menu, and non-alcoholic offerings
- Manage beverage cost, inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships within budget
- Hire, train, and lead the front-of-house and bar teams alongside the General Manager
- Support daily front-of-house operations, service standards, and floor management
- Maintain compliance with all licensing, health, and safety standards
- Proven experience as a Beverage Director, Head Sommelier, Bar Manager, or Assistant General Manager in a fine-dining setting
- Strong knowledge of wine and spirits; sommelier certification a plus
- Experience building and managing front-of-house and bar teams
- Solid business acumen: beverage costing, inventory, and labor management
- Pre-opening experience preferred
- $85,000$105,000 base salary plus performance bonus
