We are seeking a Restaurant & Event Manager to join our leadership team and play a key role in both daily restaurant operations and the continued growth of our private events program.
This is a hands-on management position for a hospitality professional who enjoys both the operational side of running a successful restaurant and the sales and coordination aspects of private events.
Position OverviewThe Restaurant & Event Manager will divide their time between overseeing restaurant operations, supporting and developing staff, responding to event inquiries, conducting venue walkthroughs, booking private events, and ensuring successful event execution.
Because Linden operates primarily during dinner service, this role offers a unique opportunity to balance daytime administrative responsibilities with evening operational leadership.
The ideal candidate is comfortable leading a busy dinner service one day and conducting a private event walkthrough the next.
Responsibilities Restaurant Operations- Serve as Manager on Duty during scheduled shifts
- Lead and support front-of-house operations
- Ensure exceptional guest experiences
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training team members
- Coach and develop staff while maintaining accountability
- Monitor service standards, cleanliness, and operational execution
- Assist with scheduling, labor management, and daily operations
- Support service by assisting with hosting, food running, and guest interaction when necessary
- Ensure team members receive proper support and break coverage throughout service
- Respond to private event inquiries in a timely manner
- Conduct venue tours and client walkthroughs
- Prepare event proposals and contracts
- Coordinate event details with clients and internal teams
- Oversee event execution from booking through completion
- Maintain strong relationships with event clients
- Identify opportunities to increase private event revenue
- Work closely with ownership and management to achieve operational goals
- Maintain strong communication between departments
- Build relationships within the local community and hospitality industry
- Support marketing and promotional initiatives related to private events
- Contribute ideas that improve guest experience, efficiency, and profitability
- Minimum 3 years of restaurant management experience
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Experience with event sales, catering sales, or event coordination preferred
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and private events as needed
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
