WHO WE ARE Kickin KAsian is a family-owned Asian Cajun seafood restaurant that's been serving bold flavors and building community since 2013. But if you love figuring things out, building something real, and wearing a few different hats, keep reading. THE ROLE As our General Manager, you are the operational backbone of Kickin KAsian. You'll oversee daily restaurant operations, lead and develop our team, manage our finances, and serve as a true partner to ownership. Beyond the day-to-day, you'll have real opportunities to grow into areas like marketing, events, and catering as we continue to build the brand. We are expanding to Encino, CA and are looking to build a new team! WHAT YOU'LL OWN Day-to-Day Operations Run smooth, high-quality shifts from open to close and be willing to jump in wherever needed Set and enforce food quality, speed of service, and guest experience standards Solve problems in real time such as, staffing gaps, supply issues, equipment hiccups all while doing it calmly and creatively Conduct pre-shift and post-shift meetings and keep the team aligned and energized Financial Management Own the P&L: manage labor, food cost, and controllable expenses to target Review daily and weekly financials; spot trends and act before small issues become big ones Contribute ideas for driving revenue promotions, events, catering opportunities, and community tie-ins People & Culture Hire, train, and develop a team that reflects our values: hustle, heart, and hospitality Lead with consistency - hold the standard without losing the warmth Build a culture where people want to show up, grow, and stay Navigate change openly Growth & Brand Building Collaborate with ownership on marketing efforts, social media strategy, and local outreach Help develop and execute events, pop-ups, and catering operations as we expand those programs Bring ideas. We're a tight team so your voice has real weight here WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR You're the right person if you: Have 2+ years of restaurant leadership experience, including at least 1 year as a GM or AGM Are genuinely adaptable you don't need a playbook for every situation, you make one Lead people with both accountability and empathy Can read a P&L and know what to do when the numbers are off Communicate clearly with your team, with ownership, with guests Get energized by variety: no two days here are exactly the same Are curious about the business side of restaurants marketing, events, catering, growth Want to be part of something with a real story, not just a job Bonus points if you have: Experience in an independent or family-owned restaurant environment Background in catering, events, or off-premise operations Familiarity with social media, local marketing, or community partnerships Manager food handler certification
