Role Overview
The restaurant manager supervises all aspects of the restaurant, from staff management and customer satisfaction to financial performance and compliance with health regulations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operations Management
Oversee daily restaurant operations (front and back of house)
Ensure smooth service during all shifts
Maintain cleanliness, safety, and hygiene standards
2. Staff Management
Hire, train, and supervise employees
Create work schedules and manage shifts
Monitor staff performance and provide feedback
Resolve employee conflicts and enforce company policies
3. Customer Service
Ensure a high level of guest satisfaction
Handle customer complaints and resolve issues quickly
Build relationships with regular customers
4. Financial Management
Manage budgets, expenses, and revenue
Monitor sales and profitability
Control inventory and reduce waste
Handle cash flow, billing, and payroll oversight
5. Compliance & Safety
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Maintain food safety standards
Stay updated on local laws and licensing requirements
6. Marketing & Promotion
Plan promotions, events, and special offers
Support branding and social media efforts
Work to increase customer traffic and retention

Qualifications
High school diploma (minimum); hospitality degree preferred
