The Housekeeping Supervisor leads and supports Room Attendants to ensure all guest rooms and public areas are cleaned to resort standards in a timely and efficient manner. This role plays a key part in delivering an exceptional guest experience by maintaining high cleanliness standards, supporting team performance, and ensuring daily operations run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Champion the resort’s 4 Keys by demonstrating and promoting safety, service excellence, teamwork, and accountability in all interactions
  • Act as shift leader, supporting daily housekeeping operations and team coordination.
  • Lead by example to create a positive, professional, and guest-focused environment
  • Assign guest rooms and common areas to housekeeping team members based on operational needs.
  • Conduct detailed inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness, presentation, and supply standards are met
  • Ensure rooms are cleaned, inspected, and released in a timely manner to support guest satisfaction and operational efficiency
  • Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies, linens, and amenities; communicate needs as appropriate
  • Provide daily oversight, direction, and support to housekeeping staff to ensure productivity and quality standards are met.
  • Answer departmental calls and respond promptly to guest requests and internal needs.
  • Handle guest concerns, complaints, and special requests in a professional and timely manner.
  • Distribute, track, and collect all keys and communication devices at the beginning and end of each shift.
  • Monitor computer systems and housekeeping boards to ensure requests and room statuses are updated accurately and completed on time
  • Communicate effectively with Front Office, Maintenance, Laundry, and other departments to ensure smooth resort operations
  • Report guest concerns, maintenance issues, safety hazards, or service opportunities to management immediately
  • Support training and onboarding of new team members as needed.
  • Promote and maintain a safe working environment for guests and team members at all times
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Previous housekeeping and supervisory experience required
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable using technology, including mobile apps and department systemsStrong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness standards.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8-hour shifts).
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Flexible availability, including weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of guests and team members.
  • Ability to work in a fun, fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Must be able to speak and read English; additional languages are a plus.
