Amazon Logistics (AMZL) is seeking an experienced candidate to identify, create, develop and integrate innovative solutions and programs that lead to improvements in our last mile delivery network. This position will lead the development and execution of new worldwide transportation initiatives designed to improve overall efficiency and meet the ever-growing demand for last mile capacity. The successful candidate will have data mining and modeling skills and is comfortable facilitating ideas and working from concept through to execution.
Key job responsibilities
Independently manage complex labor planning initiatives with considerable impact
Design and deliver end-to-end solutions for complex labor planning challenges in our fast-paced fulfillment environment
Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership, writing strategic narratives and communicating across diverse functions
Develop and implement long-term supply chain strategies that balance speed, cost, and service performance
Mitigate long-term risks and make strategic trade-offs between short and long-term needs
Drive process improvements that impact long-term organizational goals across programs and potentially multiple countries
Lead labor plan modeling and design projects from concept through implementation and scaling
Partner with cross-functional teams including Operations, Finance, Product, Technology, and Science to optimize supply chain performance
Develop new processes and mechanisms for the organization while driving operational excellence
Navigate and resolve contentious issues across stakeholder teams, building consensus and influencing without authority
Conduct deep-dive analyses to identify root causes and implement scalable solutions
Negotiate complex agreements and manage supplier relationships to reduce risk and optimize performance
- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- 5+ years of supply chain experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel at an advanced level, including: pivot tables, macros, index/match, vlookup, VBA, data links, etc.
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
- MBA in supply chain management, operations, engineering, analytics or related field
- Knowledge of SQL at an intermediate level, including: compile queries, subqueries, aggregation/grouping, data modification, etc.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
