Sodexo is seeking an experienced General Manager 5-Food to oversee the day-to-day operions of a corpore dining account the Pentagon loced in Washington, DC . We are looking for a seasoned professional with multi unit experience in a highly secured area. This is a high profile position with multi layers of responsibility. The person must be able to bring creivity and a financial acumen to the accounts th they are their responsibility.

The General Manager wi ll have full oversight of unit operions while managing managers and front-line unionized employees. This operion is predominantly Monday - Friday, 52 weeks per year. The General Manager will be responsible for maintaining an excellent client relionship and ensuring high customer service standards.

Wh You'll Do:
  • have oversight of daily food operions and deliver a high-quality product;
  • achieve company and client financial targets and goals to include oversight of cash-handling and the POS system;
  • develop and maintain client and customer relionships;
  • motive, coach, mentor and develop front-line (hourly) staff; and/or
  • ensure Sodexo standards are met to include compliance with company food and physical safety programs.

Wh You Bring:
  • experience in all aspects of restaurant or cafeteria operions , customer service, cash handling, HR responsibilities, financial reporting, marketing and promotions;
  • detailed experience and knowledge of the culinary process; t o include inventory control, ordering, recipe compliance HACCP and the ability of ensuring food quality the highest level. Must also be able to forecast sales and maintain the production process;
  • a high level of financial acumen. Must understand food cost, labor controls, middle of the page expenses with an expert level of P & L knowledge;
  • the ability to manage standards/systems in a cafe / retail operion. The ability to hold employees accountable and the ability to cree an engaged productive work force; and
  • previous retail operions experience and a passion for providing quality food options to enhance and eleve the dining experience.
