Were looking for a motivated, relationship-driven, and highly organized Business Development & Catering Sales Representative to help grow recurring catering revenue and community partnerships across our Shawnee (Johnson County, KS) and Topeka (Shawnee County, KS) markets.

This is not a traditional restaurant management role. It is a growth-focused position centered around:

  • business development,
  • community partnerships,
  • relationship management,
  • and recurring catering sales growth.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys networking, building relationships, creating long-term partnerships, and helping grow a rapidly expanding business segment. What Youll Do Catering Sales & Business Development
  • Develop and grow catering partnerships throughout the Kansas City Metro and Topeka markets
  • Build relationships with schools, athletic programs, businesses, healthcare offices, gyms, and community organizations
  • Identify and pursue recurring catering opportunities and long-term partnership accounts
  • Conduct outreach through calls, emails, networking, in-person visits, and community engagement
  • Develop new business relationships and recurring catering opportunities
  • Help increase Smoothie Kings visibility and presence throughout local communities
Community Partnerships & Account Management
  • Maintain strong ongoing relationships with catering clients and community partners
  • Coordinate recurring catering schedules and ongoing client communication
  • Ensure excellent customer service, responsiveness, and follow-through
  • Work closely with ownership and store leadership to support account growth and retention
  • Help identify partnership opportunities that align with wellness, athletics, schools, and community engagement
Growth & Performance Expectations

Successful team members in this role are expected to:

  • Maintain consistent weekly outreach and relationship-building activity
  • Develop new catering and partnership accounts on an ongoing basis
  • Help grow recurring catering revenue across both markets
  • Build long-term recurring relationships with schools, businesses, and organizations
  • Maintain strong organization, communication, and follow-through
  • Support the continued expansion of Smoothie Kings catering and partnership presence throughout the community
  • This role is designed for someone who is proactive, self-directed, and motivated by helping grow long-term business relationships and recurring revenue opportunities.

Qualifications Required
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently
  • Organized with strong follow-through and attention to detail
  • Comfortable networking and engaging within the community
  • Valid drivers license with clean driving record
  • Comfortable with local travel between markets and community locations
Preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in business development, outside sales, account management, catering sales, hospitality sales, marketing, or community outreach
  • Experience building partnerships or recurring customer relationships
  • Networking or outside sales experience
  • Experience managing client relationships and follow-up communication
  • Food service or restaurant experience is a plus, but not required
