Event Coordinator - Fairmont, MN
To lead the sales and marketing efforts for the Best Western Fairmont Hotel & Event Center, Green Mill Bar & Restaurant, and off-site catering services. This role is responsible for driving revenue through strategic sales initiatives, while also owning local marketing efforts to elevate brand awareness, increase market share, and position our Fairmont properties as the preferred destination for lodging, dining, and events.
This position will actively sell group room blocks for both the Best Western and Hampton Inn in Fairmont, while developing and executing marketing strategies that promote events, catering services, and seasonal demand drivers unique to the Fairmont area. A key focus will be building strong partnerships with local businesses, community organizations, and the Convention & Visitors Bureau to attract new travelers, events, and business to the market.

Key Responsibilities
Provide friendly, energetic, and positive interactions with guests
Create, enhance, and maintain strong client relationships to meet and exceed property sales expectations
Develop and execute local marketing strategies, including digital, social media, and community-based initiatives to drive awareness and demand
Promote hotel, restaurant, and catering offerings through targeted campaigns, partnerships, and events in the Fairmont market
Utilize CRM data to analyze, report, and forecast sales results, prepare budgets, and monitor market trends
Work closely with the General Manager to achieve or exceed sales and revenue goals
Collaborate with local businesses, organizations, and the Visitors Bureau to grow overall market demand and bring travelers into Fairmont
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
