Banquet Captain

Banquet Captain | Milburn Golf and Country Club Milburn Golf and Country Club is hiring a Banquet Captain to lead the execution of private events and club functions at our member-owned facility in Overland Park, KS. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who knows how to set a room, read a BEO, and bring calm, professional energy to a team in the middle of a busy event night. You'll work closely with our F&B leadership and operations team to make sure every event runs seamlessly from setup to breakdown. What you'll do: Lead and direct banquet staff through event setup, service, and breakdown Serve as the primary on-site point of contact during events, coordinating between the kitchen, FOH team, and club management Maintain event standards: linen, placement, service timing, member experience Handle pre-event walkthroughs and post-event debriefs Primarily PM-focused with some daytime event coverage as needed What we're looking for: Prior banquet captain, event lead, or senior banquet server experience (hotel, country club, or event venue background preferred) Strong organizational skills and comfort managing staff in a fast-moving environment Professional, composed, and member-focused under pressure Reliable availability for evenings and weekends; this role anchors our PM event operation Compensation: Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
