Job Description:

The Food and Beverage Manager is responsible for overseeing daily food and beverage operations during the operating season to ensure exceptional guest experiences, efficient service, and compliance with company policies and food safety standards. This role leads and supports both front-of-house and back-of-house teams, ensuring high standards of quality, service, and cleanliness. The Seasonal Food and Beverage Manager fosters a positive team environment, supports staff development, and helps drive operational success throughout the season.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, supervise, and support front-of-house and back-of-house teams to ensure smooth daily operations

Recruit, train, and onboard employees on service standards, operational procedures, and safety guidelines

Provide coaching, performance feedback, and mentorship to team members

Foster a positive and collaborative team culture that encourages learning and accountability

Assist with employee scheduling, shift coverage, and labor management

Ensure guests receive prompt, friendly, and high-quality service at all times

Address and resolve guest complaints or concerns in a professional and timely manner

Maintain a welcoming and positive dining environment

Monitor service standards to ensure a consistent and memorable guest experience

Oversee daily restaurant operations to ensure efficiency and adherence to company standards

Coordinate staff activities during busy service periods

Ensure consistent food quality, presentation, and beverage service standards

Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, kitchens, service stations, and workspaces

Monitor food and beverage inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed

Track product usage and assist in controlling costs and minimizing waste

Ensure accurate handling of cash management, register oversight, and end-of-shift reconciliation when required

Ensure compliance with all health, sanitation, and safety regulations

Follow and enforce all company policies and food safety guidelines

Maintain a safe and organized work environment for employees and guests

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required

5 years of restaurant management experience preferred

Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills

Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain excellent attendance

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities

Computer and POS system (Toast) knowledge preferred

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods

Ability to lift up to 25-50 pounds occasionally

Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment

Schedule Requirements

Full-time

Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Additional Requirements

Proof of eligibility to work in the United States

Reside on Island of Hawaii (Big Island)
