JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The Events Coordinator I supports the planning, coordination, and execution of events ranging from small meetings to large-scale ministry events. This role requires strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, event-driven environment. The ideal candidate is flexible, detail-oriented, and capable of independently coordinating event logistics while collaborating effectively with internal teams and vendors to ensure successful execution.
This position reports to the Events Assistant Director.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION
- Coordinate and manage event logistics from planning through completion, including travel arrangements, setup, teardown, and post-event follow-up
- Collaborate with assigned departments and ministries to plan and support upcoming events and travel needs
- Manage multiple events simultaneously while ensuring deadlines and timelines are met
- Ensure all required contracts, policies, and event guidelines are followed for each event
- Maintain effective working relationships with staff, vendors, and service providers
- Process work orders, purchase orders, receipts, and related documentation accurately and in a timely manner
- Provide excellent customer service and ongoing communication to all departments and ministries
- Assist the Events Assistant Director and Director as needed
- Work collaboratively and effectively with other Events Coordinators
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with tact, discretion, and professionalism
- Perform other related duties as assigned

This will also include:
- Regular attendance at Church services and classes
- Serving as a Prayer Partner or as a volunteer in any ministry of the Church, and
- Serving our community through local outreaches from time to time, when needed by the Church

- Demonstrated Christ-like character, spiritual maturity, and alignment with Lakewood Church culture
- Proven experience coordinating and supporting events, including managing multiple events simultaneously
- Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage timelines and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to remain calm and work effectively under pressure
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a service-oriented disposition
- Basic understanding of vendor coordination and contract compliance
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends as event schedules require
- Professional appearance and conduct
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs unassisted
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Some college coursework preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in event planning or coordination
