Essential Functions

Responsible for all aspects of package gas sales,hard-goods sales, local cylinder production, and local cylinder distributionand regional back-office operations. Responsible for small bulk gas sales incollaboration with Region Bulk Sales Manager (as applicable).

Develop and manage the team to operate the business safelyand profitably so MTG has zero accidents and above market growth in sales (netmarket share increase) and profit while building a sustainable business.

Lead customer facing activities to aggressively growprofitable sales across the regional business.

Select, develop and coach key managers as part of the ZoneManagement team as well as develop potential top-performers as future managerpotentials.

Coordinate and collaborate with Marketing, SHE, SupplyChain and Operations teams on safe, efficient, and profitable operations inevery aspect of the business. (Includes asset operation and management,identification of cost reduction programs, service improvement opportunities,and participation in key projects for the company and zones).

Education:
BS Engineering (Chemical preferred) or BusinessAdministration (MBA preferred), or equivalent experience in General Managementand Leadership Roles in Industrial Gas Business

Work Experience:
Three years or more of Sales and Operations Management, P& L responsibility of a business/unit, management of large teams of diverseperformers required
Ten years or more Direct Management experience inIndustrial Gas/Distribution business, either as a manufacturer, distributorand/or supplier to the industry preferred

Required Skills: - Computer skills include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. - Leadership- tremendous leadership ability to lead the teams to achieve the company goalsof safety, customer service, business performance and employee development. Align the execution of the Zone Business Plan to the needs of the organizationwith the local needs/opportunities in the market. Lead the business unitto the greater success of the entire company as supported by collaboration andcommunications with other functional departments. - Communications - Verystrong oral and written skills - proactive communicator both in and out oftheir organization. Ability to effectively communicate the goals,priorities and results. - Financial Analysis - ability to manage the businessto the financial goals; utilize financial resources and reporting forinvestigation and analysis for managerial review - develop plans and implementto effect business results. Manage the business unit to drive financialand organizational performance. - Deletion, Organization design, Implementationof company and business unit goals through a matrix organization, ContinuousImprovement/Quality Management, Strong customer orientation, PerformanceManagement. - Demonstrated success of sales skills in support of commercialactivities.

Conceptual understanding of industrial gas products,production, distribution applications and equipment. - Significant training inSafety and Compliance (OSHA, DOT, EPA, FDA) - Working knowledge of Six Sigmaand lean manufacturing practices. - Manage of Managers, Budgeting and planning,Sales Coaching and sales negotiations. - Personnel Management of geographicallydispersed field operations and/or significant multi-function operation.
