Essential Duties:- Oversees the opening and closing checklists.
- Oversees cash Handling, counting down drawers, making cash deposits.
- Maintains inventory.
- Initiates and maintains vendor relationships.
- Selects and purchases liquor and other supplies.
- Ensures bar is well-stocked and clean.
- Creates drink specials, and drink menus.
- Oversees all bar operations for banquets and special events.
- Appropriately delegates tasks to staff.
- Trains, promotes, and, when necessary, disciplines staff.
- Uses point-of-sale tracking technology and bar and restaurant management platforms.
- Develops and maintains positive working relationships with others, supports the team to reach common goals, and listens and responds appropriately to the concerns of other employees.
- Ensures adherence to quality expectations and standards; and identifies, recommends, develops, and implements new ways to increase organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and/or cost-saving initiatives.
- Addresses complaints and resolves problems.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Performs other duties as required.
- Frequently stands, walks, talks and hears.
- Regularly uses hands, reaches with hands and arms.
- Occasionally sits, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crawls, crouches, taste or smells.
- Frequently lifts up to 25 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds.
- Occasionally works in extreme heat, wet or humid conditions (non-weather).
- Occasionally works in outdoor weather conditions.
- ServSafe Certified (Food Manager & Alcohol) or TIPS equivalent.
- Proven experience as a bar manager or similar role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage personnel and meet financial targets.
- In-depth knowledge of beverage and food service.
- Familiarity with relevant health and safety regulations.
- Proven experience in bar management or similar role.
- Valid certification Basset’s and Food Handler’s card.
- Knowledge of inventory management and cost control.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
