Position Overview:

Atomix is looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Dining Room Manager with endless curiosity and love for the restaurant industry, to learn and grow with our restaurant.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years supervising in Fine dining restaurant(s)
  • Deep understanding of fine dining food and beverage service standards.
  • Extensive knowledge of the restaurant industry both in NYC and around the world
  • Keen attention to detail, ensuring all aspects of service meet Atomixs high standards
  • Proficiency in restaurant management software and tools (e.g., POS systems, reservation platforms).
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations with grace and composure.
  • Genuine enthusiasm for the restaurant and an endless curiosity for the food & wine world
  • Positive Attitude, a sense of urgency and strong communication skills
  • Preferred beforehand, but can obtain before start date: NYC DOH Food Protections Certificate

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily dining room operations, ensuring seamless and exceptional guest experiences.
  • Train, mentor, and supervise dining room staff, maintaining a focus on service excellence and guest satisfaction.

  • Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure the dining experience aligns with Atomixs vision and standards.
  • Manage reservations and guest seating to maximize efficiency and guest satisfaction.
  • Handle guest feedback and resolve any issues promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain a strong presence on the floor during service, leading by example and supporting the team as needed.
  • Monitor and manage inventory of dining room supplies, ensuring proper stock levels.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
  • POS maintenance: stay up-to-date, replace and update as needed, POS organization
  • Guest relations: build rapport, manage guest preferences and notes on Resy, follow-up with guests as needed
  • Ongoing education: Continue to assign beverage notes to team and discuss during pre-shift, create a test/quiz each quarter to keep team engaged and challenged
  • Keyholder: responsible for closing up restaurant, ensure security of the facility when last to leave the building, check for gas/hood/appliances upon departure

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 25lbs if necessary
  • Safely and effectively use all necessary tools and equipment
  • Stand and walk for an entire shift, including moving safely through all areas of the restaurant

Compensation Details

Compensation: Salary ($70,000.00 - $80,000.00)
