Food & Beverage Manager Stirrups

The Stirrups Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for managing the bar service within the Equestrian Hotel and pool, ensuring that customers are promptly and courteously served in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures. This role includes training all staff, weekly scheduling, inventory management, and consistently promoting a positive image of the property.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all beverage service operations throughout the Equestrian Hotel.
  • Ensure strict adherence to cash procedures, including the preparation and calculation of beverage bills and cashing up of tills.
  • Manage stock control, including ordering, acceptance, maintenance of stock levels, stock rotation, and the return of any sub-standard items.
  • Ensure compliance with all company, local, state, and federal policies.
  • Regularly report to the General Manager and the Director of Food and Beverage on departmental performance and any relevant issues.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Ensure invoices are promptly forwarded and accurate, and that cash procedures are adhered to.
  • Perform duty manager roles while on shift as required.
  • Oversee scheduling and manage labor costs.
  • Assist with service in other areas of the hotel as needed.

  • Ability to stand for the entire shift.

  • Ability to bend at the waist, use hands repetitively, and reach above the shoulder.
  • Ability to talk and hear.
  • Associate must talk and hear.

Qualifications, Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in understanding, reading, and writing English.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in food and beverage management.
  • ServSafe certification.
  • Alcohol Compliance certification.
