Department: Culinary Services/Food and Beverage

Schedule: Full time

Pay: $29-$30/hr DOE

Who you are:

  • Minimum 1 year Supervisor experience in Food and Beverage or Senior Care Communities
  • Ability to manage 20 people in a restaurant setting.
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions in English. Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Must possess and maintain a Food Worker Card in Washington State and Washington Mast Alcohol permit.
  • Phone sills, including familiarity with complex or multi-line phone systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and knowledge of P.O.S. systems.
  • Ability to interpret and explain the menu, refer to or answer questions, coordinate the meals ervice process, and understand requests.
  • Ability to work in close cooperation with residents, guests, peers, and supervisors. Requires courtesy, tact, and graciousness.
  • A positive and professional work demeanor is required.

General Summary:

Under the direction of the Dinng Services Manager, the Dining Room Supervisor oversees all aspects of the dining room operation, including staff scheduling, training, setup, service, breakdown, cleanliness, equipment, furnishings, and ordering of service-related food and service supplies for dining, banquets, and special events. The Dining Room Supervisor coordinates with kitchen staff to maintain smooth, efficient, and pleasant service at all times.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Set the example for heartfelt connections towards staff and residents.
  • Work closely with management and health services to communicate the residents needs.
  • Must maintain full familiarity with rotating menus and knowledge of beverage offerings.
  • Maintains friendly, efficient, positive customer service demeanor toward residents and co-workers.
  • Works on the floor in the restaurant, exceeding guest satisfaction by completing management reports pertaining to revenue accounting and tip disbursements.
  • Uses POS stations to record resident orders
  • Maintains each resident's privacy, safety, and dignity by observing resident confidentiality and closely adhering to safety and sanitation standards.
  • Perform the daily line-up with service staff to discuss menu items and specials, upcoming and past events and, review special instructions, listen to and address and resolve any problems or concerns.
  • Manage a team of servers and lead servers.
  • Support servers, lead servers, and management.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work is performed indoors. Occasional event service outdoors where you may be exposed to the elements (hot, cold, rain, etc.). Must be able to stand/walk for 100% of the workday. Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds independently, as well as push and pull carts weighing up to 50 pounds independently. Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, and balance frequently throughout the workday. Must be able to see, hear, and speak.
