Job Summary:

As the Casino Beverage Manager, you will oversee all aspects of beverage service within our gaming and entertainment facility. You will ensure that our guests receive exceptional service while adhering to all health and safety regulations. You will be responsible for managing beverage inventory, creating innovative drink menus, training and supervising staff, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and service in our bars and lounges. Your leadership will play a crucial role in enhancing the overall guest experience in our casino.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in beverage management, preferably within a casino, hotel, or high-volume restaurant setting.
  • Strong knowledge of beverage trends, mixology, and inventory management.
  • Excellent leadership skills and the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service and guest satisfaction.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Recruit, train, and supervise a team of bartenders, servers, and support staff, ensuring high quality service and compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Oversee daily operations of all beverage outlets, including bars, lounges, and beverage service on the casino floor, ensuring efficient service and high-quality beverages.
  • Create and maintain a diverse and innovative beverage menu that includes alcoholic and non-alcoholic options, seasonal specials, and signature cocktails, keeping up with industry trends.
  • Manage beverage inventory, including ordering, receiving, stock control, and waste reduction, while negotiating pricing and contracts with suppliers and vendors.
  • Monitor and enforce quality standards for drinks, presentation, and service to ensure excellent guest experience.
  • Develop and manage the beverage budget, analyze financial reports, and implement strategies to increase revenue and profitability.
  • Engage with guests, handle feedback and complaints, and ensure a welcoming atmosphere that enhances the overall guest experience.
  • Ensure all beverage services comply with state and local laws, including liquor licensing and health regulations, and promote safe serving practices.
  • Work closely with other departments (e.g., marketing, culinary, promotions) to coordinate promotions, special events, and theme nights.
  • Coordinate with restaurant managers to ensure seamless beverage service in dining outlets.
  • Assist in developing wine, cocktail, and non-alcoholic beverage menus for restaurants.
  • Support all daily operations of the restaurant including events, promotions and month end reports
  • All team members will follow the Everyone Greets Everyone (EGE) policy. It is the expectation that every team member, front or back of house, should proactively seek out opportunities to greet guests and their fellow team members daily. EGE policy states teams members should: acknowledge guests and fellow team members within 10 feet; initiate friendly verbal greeting within 5 feet; keep your head up, look around (head on a swivel); look for opportunities to greet guests and others; please remember that when you are on the floor, you are on stage.
  • Team members will participate in all mandatory meetings and pre-shift BUZZ sessions.
  • Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team.
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Must be able to respond to visual and aural ques.
  • Must present a well-groomed, professional appearance.
  • Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and complies with all state, federal and regulatory policies and procedures.
  • Must be able to work a varied schedule including holidays, nights and weekends as needed.
  • Must be able to work a reasonable amount of overtime when required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical, Mental & Environmental Demands:

  • Must be able to sit, stand or walk for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to respond calmly and make rational decisions when handling guest and/or employee conflicts.
  • Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the casino.
  • Must be able to lift-up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to push carts weighing up to 100 pounds.
  • Must be able to use proper team lifting and carrying techniques.
  • Must be able to push, pull, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, twist and grip items when working throughout the property.
  • Must have manual dexterity and coordination to operate office equipment, including PC computers, fax machine and photocopier.
  • Must be able to simultaneously manage several projects and remain focused and calm with changing priorities and unforeseen obstacles to achieving objectives.
  • Must be able to speak distinctly and persuasively.
  • Must be able to work at a fast pace in mentally and physically stressful situations.
  • Must be able to work in areas containing secondhand smoke, dust, loud noises and bright lights.
