Schedule will be determined every two weeks and may include event-based hours. Position Responsibilities Position Summary Under the direction of the Assistant Manager for The Lookout Restaurant, the Part-Time Supervisor is responsible for assisting in the daily operations of the restaurant and bar. This includes supervising both front-of-house and back-of-house staff during shifts, ensuring exceptional guest service, maintaining operational standards, and supporting compliance with all applicable food safety and alcohol service regulations. Responsibilities Job Duty Function Oversee restaurant operations by: Job Duties/Responsibilities
  • Supervising daily front-of-house and back-of-house operations, including opening, shift change, and closing procedures
  • Monitoring guest satisfaction, addressing concerns promptly, and ensuring a welcoming environment
  • Coordinating with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely, accurate service and smooth communication between front and back of house
  • Monitoring kitchen workflow, cleanliness, and adherence to food safety standards
  • Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and alcohol service regulations, including proper sanitation practices
  • Managing table rotation, seating assignments, and reservation flow to maximize guest experience
Percentage Of Time 40% Essential/Marginal Essential Job Duty Function Provide staff supervision and support by: Job Duties/Responsibilities
  • Assisting in onboarding and training of front-of-house and back-of-house staff in service standards, food preparation protocols, menu knowledge, and POS use
  • Providing ongoing feedback and direction to servers, hosts, bartenders, cooks, and dishwashers during shifts
  • Assigning and adjusting shift responsibilities as needed to maintain service flow and kitchen efficiency
  • Assisting with schedule coverage when needed in coordination with the Assistant Manager
  • Promoting a positive and team-focused work environment across all departments
Percentage Of Time 30% Essential/Marginal Essential Job Duty Function Support financial, inventory, and production controls by: Job Duties/Responsibilities
  • Monitoring and reconciling credit/debit transactions and reporting to ensure compliance with financial procedures
  • Verifying POS transactions and assisting with end-of-shift reporting
  • Communicating low-stock or urgent supply needs to management for both front-of-house and back-of-house operations
  • Ensuring bar, kitchen, and service stations remain stocked during shifts
  • Assisting in monitoring food waste, portion control, and product quality
Percentage Of Time 20% Essential/Marginal Essential Job Duty Function Contribute to overall success of The Lookout and Campus Services by: Job Duties/Responsibilities
  • Participating in staff meetings and trainings as scheduled
  • Assisting with special events, banquets, and catering as assigned
  • Supporting promotions and marketing initiatives as directed
  • Performing other duties as assigned
Percentage Of Time 10% Essential/Marginal Marginal Position Qualifications Required Qualifications
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • One year of experience in restaurant, bar, hospitality operations, including experience in a lead or shift supervisory role
  • Knowledge of POS systems
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must Possess or be able to obtain within 3 months of hire:
    • ServSafe Manager Certification
    • Alcohol Service Certification
  • Two years of experience in a full-service restaurant or bar environment, including both FOH and BOH supervision
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supervising staff in a hospitality setting
  • Strong customer service skills with proven conflict resolution abilities
  • Knowledge of local and state alcohol laws and food safety standards
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
  • Ability to move continuously about and stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, carry, and/or otherwise move materials up to 35 pounds on a regular basis
