Job Title: Hospitality Manager - Lecom Event Center
Reports To: General Manager
Type: Full-Time | Nights, Weekends, and Event Days Required
Position Overview:
Lecom Event Center is seeking a dynamic, experienced, and innovative Hospitality Manager to oversee all food and beverage operations within our hockey arena. This role is responsible for developing a cohesive and elevated hospitality experience across suites, concession stands, and premium event spaces. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and culinary vision to curate menus, manage staff, and maintain high standards of service for thousands of guests on game days and during special events.
Key Responsibilities:
Menu Development & Culinary Direction:
- Design and implement a cohesive menu that aligns across concession stands, suites, and VIP areas.
- Create a seasonal and appealing specialty drink menu tailored to hockey fans and premium guests.
- Develop a catering menu for corporate events, private parties, and arena functions.
- Collaborate with chefs, bartenders, and food and beverage vendors to ensure quality, consistency, and creativity.
Team Leadership & Staffing:
- Recruit, hire, and train a high-performing team including:
- Cooks and prep staff
- Bartenders and cocktail servers
- Concession stand servers
- Suite attendants and hospitality staff
- Schedule and manage staffing for all events, ensuring proper coverage and optimal service.
- Provide ongoing staff development, performance reviews, and customer service training.
Operations & Inventory Management:
- Oversee daily food and beverage operations for multiple outlets across the arena.
- Manage food and alcohol ordering, receiving, and vendor relationships.
- Track and maintain accurate inventory levels for food, beverages, and supplies.
- Control food costs, minimize waste, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Event Coordination:
- Customize food and beverage offerings for concerts, private rentals, and corporate bookings.
- Ensure timely setup and teardown of catering services and suite deliveries.
Compliance & Quality Control:
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal food and beverage regulations.
- Regularly audit and inspect food service areas for cleanliness, service quality, and adherence to brand standards.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in hospitality management, preferably in a stadium, arena, or large-scale event venue.
- Proven success in leading teams and managing high-volume food and beverage operations.
- Strong culinary and beverage knowledge with a creative eye for menu design.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience with POS systems, inventory software, and budget management.
- Flexible schedule with availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
