Job Summary

Were seeking a dynamic, hands-on General Manager to lead a $3M campus dining program with three retail cafes and on-site catering. This role requires a proven leader with strong P&L expertise and experience managing teams, operations, and client relationships in a Business & Industry (B&I) setting. Youll be responsible for overall performance, service excellence, team development, and financial results. Evening and weekend availability is required for limited dinner service and special events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead daily operations in alignment with company policies and regulatory standards

  • Build strong relationships with staff, clients, guests, and internal teams

  • Promote team development through training, reviews, and succession planning

  • Manage food costs while maintaining high-quality standards

  • Develop and oversee budgets, P&L statements, forecasts, and sales reports

  • Control costs through efficient purchasing and inventory management

  • Analyze financial data and drive operational improvements

  • Collaborate with chefs on menu planning and innovation

  • Ensure compliance with HACCP and all health/safety regulations

  • Supervise cash handling and reconcile multiple cash banks

  • Foster a culture of integrity, accountability, and excellence

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent professional experience

  • 810 years of progressive food service experience, including 6+ years in a management role

  • Background in upscale, multi-unit dining operations (retail and catering)

  • Demonstrated success managing teams, budgets, and client relationships

  • Strong leadership, coaching, and conflict resolution skills

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment

  • Proficiency in food purchasing, cost control, and inventory systems

  • Solid Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); financial systems a plus

  • ServSafe or Department of Health certification preferred
