Located just a short walk from the Metro (Gallery Pl/Chinatown) and Capital One Arena, our 12,000 square foot restaurant received its Michelin Star from the Michelin Guide in 2022.

Job Summary: The Restaurant Manager is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and supporting the General Manager in maintaining the restaurant's high standards and reputation. This position reports directly to the General Manager and plays a vital role in the overall success of the establishment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Guest Satisfaction:

    • Ensure that guests receive impeccable service, addressing any concerns or special requests promptly.
    • Monitor guest feedback and implement improvements to enhance the dining experience.
  2. Team Leadership:

    • Recruit, train, and supervise restaurant staff, including servers, bartenders, and support personnel.
    • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, motivating the team to consistently deliver outstanding service.
  3. Daily Operations:

    • Coordinate daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures, reservation management, and seating arrangements.
    • Oversee the maintenance of the dining area to ensure cleanliness, organization, and an appealing ambiance.
  4. Menu Knowledge:

    • Maintain a thorough understanding of the restaurant's menu, including ingredients, preparation techniques, and wine pairings.
    • Train staff to communicate menu offerings effectively to guests.
  5. Wine and Beverage Program:

    • Collaborate with the sommelier and bar staff to curate a top-tier wine and beverage program.
    • Ensure that wine and beverage service meets the restaurant's standards and enhances the dining experience.
  6. Financial Management:

    • Assist in managing the restaurant's budget, including monitoring expenses and revenue.
    • Implement cost-control measures to maximize profitability.
  7. Quality Control:

    • Ensure that all food and beverage items served meet Michelin-starred quality standards.
    • Conduct regular inspections of the restaurant to maintain excellence in presentation and cleanliness.
  8. Compliance and Safety:

    • Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines to provide a safe environment for guests and staff.
    • Ensure the restaurant operates in compliance with local regulations and Michelin standards.
  9. Special Events and Promotions:

    • Plan and execute special events, promotions, and collaborations to drive business and enhance the restaurant's reputation.
  10. Guest Relations:

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with regular guests, VIPs, and the local community.
    • Handle guest complaints and inquiries professionally and proactively.
  11. Reporting:

    • Provide regular reports to the General Manager on restaurant performance, including financial results, guest feedback, and staff evaluations.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager in a Michelin-starred or upscale restaurant.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of food and beverage operations, including wine and fine dining etiquette.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with restaurant management software and point-of-sale systems.
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations.
  • Wine certification (e.g., sommelier certification) is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or related field is preferred.
Compensation Details

Compensation: Salary ($65,000.00 - $75,000.00)
