Paddlers Rest Lakeside Cabins and Motel is a small, family operated vacation destination with a growing customer base. Located in a beautiful setting located directly on Long Lake in the heart of the Adirondacks, we are within walking distance of the town of Long Lake. We are currently looking for motivated, reliable and dedicated staff to join our team.
Responsibilities:
Assign and oversee daily tasks for the housekeeping team to ensure efficient operations and high-quality standards.
Collaborate effectively with management to align departmental goals and resolve operational challenges.
Handle all situations with professionalism while addressing guest needs and ensuring satisfaction.
Manage ordering of cleaning products and supplies, maintaining appropriate stock levels.
Oversee inventory to ensure accuracy and support seamless day-to-day operations.
Monitor team performance, ensuring accountability and maintaining productivity benchmarks.
Organize and prioritize housekeeping tasks to optimize workflow and resource utilization.
Proactively address safety issues, departmental concerns, and maintenance needs.
Ensure all facilities and guest accommodations consistently meet or exceed established cleanliness and quality standards.
Requirements:
Proven experience in housekeeping, custodial, or janitorial work.
Strong knowledge of industrial cleaning techniques and custodial best practices.
Familiarity with hospitality environments and guest service expectations.
High attention to detail with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines consistently.
Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks, including lifting, bending, and moving objects.
Dedication to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and delivering exceptional customer service.
Ability to perform hands-on housekeeping duties; this is a working management role.
Proficiency in modern computer applications and operational software.
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Flexibility to work morning/evening shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Deep clean and sanitize guest lodging accommodations to ensure a safe and welcoming environment.
Restock essential supplies in guest cottages and public restrooms.
Remove, launder, and replace linens from guest cottages according to hygiene standards.
Maintain cleanliness across all facilities, including cabins, restrooms, and public areas.
Complete general cleaning duties such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and surface sanitization.
Report maintenance issues promptly for resolution.
Safely and professionally clean up biohazard messes in accordance with safety protocols.
Mix and dilute cleaning chemicals accurately following product instructions and safety guidelines.
Use cleaning tools and supplies efficiently and ensure proper storage after use.
Follow all health, safety, and sanitation regulations during the performance of duties.
Provide exceptional guest service by responding quickly and courteously to guest needs and inquiries.
Assist with guest check-ins and check-outs, and offer general front-desk or customer support as needed.
Keep housekeeping storage areas clean, organized, and well-stocked.
Perform physical tasks, including heavy lifting, bending, and stair climbing, as part of daily operations.
