Our Port Jefferson, NY store is actively seeking an experienced Assistant Cheese Manager for its busy team! As Assistant Cheese Manager at Uncle Giuseppes, individual prepares, stocks, serves and merchandises cheese and related food products to our customers and maintains our high standards of safety and sanitation. This is a hands on position.

Responsibilities

• Supports a positive customer experience, providing guests with a unique, enthusiastic and informational experience.
• Observes and supports all store rules and company policies.
• Packs, labels and merchandises cheese and related items according to Uncle Giuseppes policies.
• Maintains the entire work area in clean and sanitary conditions while following all company safety procedures within the store.
• Supervises a staff of cheese clerks.
• Other duties and functions as assigned.

Requirements and skills

• High school diploma or GED equivalent with at least 1 year of past experience working in customer service
• Great passion for cheese!
• Highly organized with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
• Self- motivated to succeed, meet deadlines and follow through on tasks
• Strong attention to detail for accuracy in all facets of the position
