Cafeteria Manager

Salary: $19.19-$22.32 /hr. plus benefitsReports To: Building AdministratorHours/Week: 40Months/Year: 10 monthsJOB BEGINS IMMEDIATELYPOSITION SUMMARY:Coordinates and directs the work of food service personnel in preparing nutritious and attractivemeals for students and staff while maintaining a clean kitchen and cafeteria and observing allHealth Department regulations to create a safe and healthy work environment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:? High School diploma or equivalent.? One year related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education andexperience.? Prior experience in school setting preferred.? Contingent on Criminal Records Check - SB 1078? Contingent on previous Educational Employer Check? Fingerprinting required

RESPONSIBILITIES (Include but are not limited to):? Follow and maintains knowledge of all District policy(ies) and procedures.? Knows and understands federal guidelines for the Child Nutrition Program and ensurescompliance.? Knows and follows all safety and sanitary rules and regulations related to food handling.? Creates and implements the school meal menus.? Takes inventory, orders, receives, and verifies supply delivery(ies) District-wide.? Preparation of school meals, to include participating in the planning, cutting, cooking andpreparation of food items according to the planned menu.? Ensures the quality and portion control of food served.? Ensures a safe and clean work area.? Checks freezers, refrigerators, and dishwashers to ensure proper operating temperature is beingmaintained and sanitation standards are being upheld.? Operates kitchen equipment including dishwasher, slicer, mixer, etc. while maintaining sanitaryspecifications.
