Job Title: Corporate Facilities Manager

Department: Management Services

Reports To: SVP Management Services


Position Summary


The Corporate Facilities Manager is responsible for the overall facilities health of their assigned assets.  The Corporate Facilities Manager ensures appropriate follow up regarding outstanding work tickets, capital projects, turnover and related facilities work and coordination.  This position acts as a knowledgeable first contact for the onsite staff teams to escalate facilities, vendors, or other site-specific concerns that the maintenance team has.   This position also assist in the transitioning of new development projects to full operational status and includes overseeing and administering the warranty program for a given site and coordinating when necessary with 3rd parties to complete work.  The Corporate Facilities Manager also plays a critical role in putting together policies and procedures from the corporate level to better track and deliver on the overall Management Services platform goals and strategies.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Must be able to work a full shift / required work schedule
    • This includes extended hours during turnover period
    • Includes traveling 25%-70% of the time, depending on need
  • Provide 1st point of contact for on site facilities services for support
  • Assist with developing and editing on an ongoing basis the companies PM Program
  • Ensure key control procedures are being followed at each site.
  • Ensure proper training on all building sysems (pools, plumbing, electrical, CCTV, access control, etc.)
  • Assist in creation of annual capital budget for assigned sites
  • Assist in coordinating annual Emergency Preparedness Plans
  • Create and manage 3rd party vendor relations such as HD Supply and Maintenance Supply Headquarters.
  • Ensure all licenses and permits are completed in a timely manner at the site level
  • Ensure all life safety systems are properly inspected and tagged
  • Ensure proper OSHA and MSDS requirements are being implemented and followed
  • Manage and contract for 3rd party services for facilities related items such as landscaping, HVAC contracts, Life Safety Inspections, Fitness PMs, etc.
  • Assist in recruiting and interviewing site level Maintenance Supervisors
  • Provide move-in support where needed for new move-ins during turnover period.
  • Manage general contractor warranty work log for assigned new development sites
  • Participate in auditing new development construction timeliness and readiness
  • Oversee facilities staff at the sites from a support and logitistics perspective.
  • Communicate with Regional Managers should any staff issues become relevant.
  • Develop and Maintain the properties preventative maintenance procedures





  • High School or equivalent education preferred
  • Technical or vocational schooling for HVAC or other related fields preferred
  • 5+ years’ experience in a real estate or multifamily maintenance capacity
  • 3+ years’ experience in facilities maintenance of a high rise facility (over 6 stories tall)
  • 3+ years’ experience in a supervisory capacity
  • HVAC & EPA I & II certifications

Physical Demands

  • Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing or crouching on narrow or slippery surface.

  • Bending, stooping and reaching several times through a shift.

  • Ability to drive to and from client locations, this may involve sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with the fingers

  • Working in indoor environment with occasionally being present in an air conditioned office setting.

Work Hours/Schedule

  • Regular – Normal work hours and days assigned based on a 40+-hour workweek.
