We are seeking an individual who will take ownership, be aggressive, and work hard to achieve Sales goals. Establishes client base of organizations, associations, and social groups through direct outside and inside sales, in order to secure business for the hotel. They will also maintain relationships with existing client base and secure potential repeat business.

Maintain and handle Association / Sports business through telephone solicitation, outside sales calls, site inspections and written communication. The ideal candidate will have established contacts in these non-corporate markets and be intimately familiar with local CVB’s and tour operators.

Participation in daily business review meetings, pre-convention meetings, training and other sales related meetings is required coupled with attending some after-hours mixers as needed.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times.

  • Employees must, at all times, be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to all guests, managers, and fellow employees.
  • Develop a full working knowledge of the operations of the hotel, including Food and Beverage, Guest Services and Reservations.
  • Develop a complete knowledge of company sales policies and ensure knowledge of and adherence to those policies by the sales team.
  • Meet or exceed set goals.
  • Initiate and follow up on leads. Maintain and participate in an active sales solicitation program.
  • Monitor production of all top accounts and evaluate trends within your market.
  • Regularly contact existing accounts based on the tracing frequencies of an account coverage program.
  • Meet or exceed sales solicitation call goals as assigned by the Director of Sales.
  • Invite clients to the hotel for entertainment, lunches, tours and site inspections.
  • Assist in implementing special promotions relating to direct sales segments, i.e., sales blitzes.
  • Use your property’s computerized sales management system to manage the hotel’s business, including (but not limited to) generating reports, entering business, blocking space and building accounts.
  • Be familiar with all brand sales policies, selling occupancy and Average Daily Rate (ADR)
  • Conduct a professional, thorough site inspection of the hotel with clients, exhibiting key features and benefits of the property.
  • Participate in required M.O.D. and Saturday office coverage as scheduled
  • Meet and greet onsite contacts.
  • Abide by Prime Selling Time.
