The Hampton Inn & Suites in downtown Chicago is looking for a Guest Service Manager. This opportunity is ideal for someone highly motivated, energetic with detailed Front Office background, possessing the ability and looking for the opportunity to be elevated to a larger role. This is a Guest Service Manager position that requires working the desk, serving as the lead when upper management is not in the hotel. Responsibilities include training, scheduling, supervising, developing, disciplining, and counseling employees according to hotel policies & procedures. Ability to manage, develop, and lead front office associates. Coordinate all operational requirements for reception staff to properly provide detailed professional service. Attend to daily operational requirements/implementation of procedures for guest recognition program, amenity program, and standard opening and shift procedures. Provide detailed and effective communication to all departments of guest activity to achieve the highest level of service possible. Exercise tastefully and aesthetic sensitivity in all product and service matters. Ensure all necessary administrative responsibilities are completed and submitted to the proper individuals in a timely fashion: including payroll, schedules, employee reviews. Respond to all guest needs and requests in a timely manner. Maintain a high level of professional appearance and demeanor of self and subordinates. Ensure attention is placed on lobby activity and maintain a sense of control and coordination.

The Guest Service Manager is responsible for all aspects of the front office, concierge, bell staff and door staff during their shift to ensure efficient, attentive and courteous service to our guests. Duties include but are not limited to the following: *Maintain standards of guest service as established by the Front Office Manager and the Executive Team. *Review VIP reservations, amenity orders and resumes for incoming and in-house guests. *Contributes to the profitability and guest satisfaction perception of the hotel and its staff. *Interact positively with customers and take action to resolve problems to the satisfaction of all parties involved. *Monitor lobby traffic and make staffing adjustments accordingly.
