Job Title: Executive Housekeeper Company: Scout MVY Management, LLC Location: Edgartown, MA Description: Scout Hospitality, a small, growing hotel company, is searching for an Executive Housekeeper at the Harbor View Hotel and Kelley House of Martha's Vineyard. This is a growing hotel company with opportunity for advancement. The right candidate will: -oversee and ensure high level of cleanliness of the hotel -demonstrate commitment towards superior guest service and guest satisfaction -select, train, supervise, schedule, motivate, develop, discipline, conduct performance appraisals and counsel staff, according to company policies and procedures -promote teamwork -conduct room inspections to monitor work performance of staff -ensure all safety and chemical procedures are adhered to and all appropriate policies are followed; keep all required manuals updated -maintain lost and found program -follow purchasing procedures and maintain inventory of guest room and housekeeping supplies -control expenses and monitor payroll hours -coordinate repairs with Maintenance; ensure open communication with staff and all departments -demonstrate leadership by example -have the ability to communicate clearly and effectively through reports -organize linen transportation off island -conduct monthly linen inventory -process purchase orders, invoices and maintain checkbook accounting -have the ability to work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends and holidays -have the ability to prioritize and organize work assignments and to delegate -ensure security of guest room access and hotel property -perform other duties as assigned
