This Project Manager will own various projects within the Credit Risk Management project portfolio for PB Technology. The core components of the credit risk agenda include derivative exposure management, portfolio-based collateral monitoring capabilities and overall credit risk exposure management capabilities. Core project manager responsibilities include managing multiple Credit projects to a successful, on-time, on-budget delivery, strictly adhering to the defined SDLC processes. Additional responsibilities include people management, project planning, issue and risk management, status reporting, and end-to-end management and oversight of a set of critical, strategic projects. The project manager also owns of plan-related technology deliverables (project plan, functional design, test strategy, plan and scripts) as well as relationship management responsibilities with the PB Credit end-users on business related project deliverables and the technology build team on build related project deliverables.
Core Responsibilities:
* Technology Plan Management and oversight of all SDLC deliverables for assigned projects as well as direct ownership for plan related deliverables, including: project planning, functional design, and testing (test strategy, planning, scripting and execution)
* Manage a plan team of business analyst(s) who own the documentation of detailed functional specifications, working with the business to analyze their business requirements and in return, providing technical expertise and producing functional design for any application additions, changes and modifications
* Own all project management and PMO type functions for assigned projects, including Issue, Risk, Action item and Plan management as well as weekly status reporting for given Credit Technology projects
* Manage relationship with Credit based PB client teams and business users and assist in them in completing business requirements at an appropriate level of detail for translation into Functional design
* Manage relationship with the Technology Build team as they translate functional into technical design and perform build
* Build and strengthen processes around release management within the Credit space; assisting the business in evaluating priorities, advising business partners on options, risks, and costs versus benefits of various solutions
* Identify and ensure resolution of control gaps including eventual elimination of user-defined databases
* Ensure adherence to security policies and standards - Ensure quick resolution of infrastructure related control issues
Qualifications
Job Requirements/Background/Prior Experience:
* 4 year accredited college degree / advanced degree in business related discipline
* 10 years of IT work experience and 6 years of Project Management Experience
* Detailed knowledge of the project lifecycle and SDLC
* Experience leading large, complex projects, managing both through execution capabilities and influence
* Experience in Private Banking/Wealth Management and Credit Risk Management related technology projects in the Financial Service Industry
* Experience in Private Bank Credit related products, services and processing systems
Required/Preferred Skill Set:
* Strong planning, communication (verbal and written), project management and execution skills
* Expertise in software, infrastructure and technology development standards
* Expertise in the SDLC processes (or related project lifecycle methodologies)
* Strong business and technology relationship management
* Ability to effectively oversee project plans, issue resolution and implementation planning
* Risk management skills to identify/resolve control gaps
* Ability to work with cross-functional teams and interact with all levels
* Ability to be flexible, follow tight deadlines, organize and prioritize work
* Work under minimum direction and use independent judgment in decision-making
* Preferred technical experience including database and portal technology, understanding of SQL, and business intelligence (business objects preferred) experience
* Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities
